If life on Earth really started with a single-celled organism, how has natural selection taken us to the point where there are now countless millions of life forms with more evolving daily?  Would any of this be possible if each kept strictly to itself?  If my angle is not yet clear, let me continue with my clearly analogous thought in its intended context.

Technology and Social Media are branching out into many new forms at a rate few if any can keep up with.  Inevitably, natural selection comes into play, ensuring that even some of the best ideas barely see the light of day.  For those that do, I propose another analogy:  For generations, the world’s Royal Families only married each other and their gene pool became dangerously familiar, their outlook, stagnating  in its insularity.

As a former mainframe programmer turned Business and QA Analyst who has also facilitated many processes outside of my own core expertise, I can attest to the value of multiple skillsets being employed in any process, with questions being asked by the non-experts or those with complementary skills.

So I call on everyone with a question or opinion to not be intimidated by the genius of those currently taking lead roles in innovation and speak your mind!  Nobody has your exact experiences and mindset and your thoughts may well help spark the next round of round-table brainstorming innovation.  We’re all relying on you!
